We have two delightful properties to offer individually or in combination:

La Petite Maison Bleue and The Barn

Both properties are situated at 2 Rue de Chandelais, Le Guédeniau, near Baugé in the Maine et Loire region of France. Le Guédeniau is a small village boasting that most welcome of holiday attractions – a Boulangerie! What's more, it is famous for its especially large croissants, and in August the village hosts a Fete du Gros Croissant!

In the village square there is a small Church, the Mairie, and notice boards containing information about the surrounding area including self-guided walks of varying lengths. The village is also served by a mobile butcher.

Le Guédeniau also boasts a lovely leisure lake with a covered barbecue area for public use. You'll also find recycling facilities here (and elsewhere in the village).

We want your visit to the Loire Valley to be a memorable one and depending on your personal interests there is a wealth of activities and places to see in this beautiful area. Long walks and bicycle rides are on the doorstep in the nearby forest, and there are any number of chateaux, vineyards and restaurants to visit.

Baugé is the nearest town and boasts its own chateau. It is a busy town where you can find plenty of small shops for all your needs as well as a large supermarket.

However if you wish to venture further afield for more extensive shopping, the large towns of Angers and Saumur are not too far away. You will also find a large very good market at La Fleche on a Wednesday, only 15 minutes north of Le Guédeniau.

For those who prefer country pursuits there is an excellent golf course at Baugé offering a good round of golf at very competitive rates (watch out for the water hazards, though). You can explore the nearby Chandelais forest on foot or take your bicycle if you prefer.

If it is hot and you fancy a swim you might like to take a picnic to nearby lakes at Fontaine Guerin or Mouliherne. As you might imagine there are plenty of vineyards to visit and restaurants where you can enjoy very reasonably priced and delicious food. You will find numerous restaurants in nearby Saumur, which is definitely worth a visit if only to see the fairy-tale chateau illuminated at night.

At the properties you will find plenty of details and recommendations about where to eat and where to go to buy good quality wine.

You really are spolied for choice!
